The circuit called "1 transistor mini LED lamp + voltage transformer" on my channel is also usable to let a small neon tube (4 watt) light up on 12 Volt. Please note that you need the 500 turns on the secundary side of the transformer now. 250 turns will be not enough in this case. The circuit takes 75 mA at 12 Volt. Don't raise the voltage above 12,5 Volt, I presume the transistor will burn out in that case. So if used with a car battery take a suitable series resistor from the car battery ...
